Terms & Conditions

From December 2025

FOR BOOKINGS MADE PRIOR TO 30 NOV 25 THE TERMS PROVIDED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING WILL APPLY

Peter Goord Travel acts solely as an agent or sub-agent in respect of all bookings we make on your behalf. The following terms apply to all arrangements we make for your travel or holiday requirements. When making a booking, you will enter into a contract with the supplier named on your receipt or booking confirmation (e.g. tour operator, airline, cruise company, accommodation company).

Your booking could be a package holiday with one company or made up by different principals or suppliers, in which case you will have separate contracts with each of them. As an agent, we accept no responsibility for the acts or omissions of the supplier(s) or for the services provided by them. The supplier’s Terms & Conditions will apply to your booking and we advise you to read these carefully. Please ask us for copies if you do not have them.

To facilitate our ability to continue to provide safe and enjoyable holidays to our guests, we reserve the right to refuse to accept a booking request from an individual or group and reserve the right to cancel an existing reservation.

Booking and Payment

When you make a booking you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party these booking conditions.

To confirm your chosen arrangements, you must pay a deposit as required by the supplier (or full payment if requested at the time of booking). Your booking will be confirmed and a contract between you and the supplier will commence.

Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to us immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport. As we act only as a booking agent, we have no responsibility for any errors in documentation except where an error is made by us.

Any changes to details may incur charges determined by the supplier’s booking conditions.

The booking information you provide will be passed only to relevant travel suppliers or persons necessary for providing your arrangements. Information may be provided to public authorities such as customs or immigration if required by law. This includes sensitive information such as disabilities, dietary or religious requirements. By making a booking, you consent to this information being shared where necessary.

If travelling to the United States, US Customs and Border Protection may receive this information for security purposes.

If you travel outside the European Economic Area, data protection controls may not be as strong. If we cannot pass required information to suppliers, we will be unable to provide your booking. Full details of our data protection policy are available upon request.

If you have paid a deposit, you must pay the full balance by the due date. If payment is not received, the supplier may cancel your booking and charge cancellation fees.

Except where otherwise stated, monies paid to us are held on behalf of the supplier(s).

Accuracy of Prices

We reserve the right to amend advertised prices at any time and correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices. Please check the price of your arrangements at the time of booking.

Insurance

Many suppliers require travel insurance as a condition of booking. In any event, we strongly advise purchasing insurance to cover cancellation, medical assistance (including repatriation), baggage loss, and other expenses.

Check your policy carefully and ensure all relevant information (such as pre-existing medical conditions) has been disclosed.

Special Requests

If you have special requests (e.g. dietary requirements, room location), please advise at the time of booking. We will pass requests to the supplier but cannot guarantee they will be met.

Changes and Cancellations by You

Cancellation or amendment requests must be made by the lead name and submitted in writing (email or post). They take effect on the day we acknowledge receipt.

Amendments and cancellations are subject to supplier terms and may incur charges up to 100% of the holiday cost. In addition, we may charge an administration fee of up to £100 per person.

Most scheduled airlines do not allow changes. Low-cost airlines often charge 100% cancellation from time of booking.

Changes and Cancellations by the Supplier

We will inform you as soon as possible if the supplier makes a significant change or cancels arrangements. We will liaise regarding alternatives offered but have no further liability.

Our Responsibility for Your Booking

Your contract is with the supplier and their booking conditions apply. As agent, we accept no responsibility for the provision of travel arrangements.

Our responsibility is limited to making bookings according to your instructions.

If we are found liable, our maximum liability is limited to the cost of your booking. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Financial Protection

All package holidays include financial protection.

If you buy an ATOL-protected flight or holiday, you will receive an ATOL Certificate explaining protection and contacts if issues arise.

If you purchase additional services separately, these do not form a package under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

Passport, Visa and Health Requirements

We can provide general guidance, but passport, visa, and immigration requirements are your responsibility. Requirements may change between booking and departure.

Most countries require passports valid for at least 6 months after return.

Consult your doctor regarding health requirements before travel.

Accommodation Ratings and Information

Ratings are provided by suppliers and are intended as a guide. Standards vary between countries and suppliers.

Descriptions on our website provide general guidance only. All services are subject to availability.

Complaints

If a problem occurs during travel, report it immediately to the supplier or their representative.

If unresolved, write to us after returning home. If the matter involves an ABTA member, you may use ABTA’s Arbitration Scheme.

Final Travel Arrangements

Ensure all travel documents are in order and arrive in good time for check-in. Airlines may require flight reconfirmation prior to departure.

Delivery of Documents

Documents sent by post will be delivered via Royal Mail. We are not responsible for loss unless due to our negligence. Reissue costs must be paid by you.

ABTA

We are proud members of ABTA and adhere to its Code of Conduct.
